Actor Ludi Lin has been confirmed to be cast as the Black Ranger for the upcoming Lionsgate Power Rangers film. He has previously appeared on the Netflix series Marco Polo.
He joins actors Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger) and Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger) in the coming film. Scott has recently appeared in the box office hit The Martian and the television series Terra Nova (alongside Power Rangers RPM‘s Eka Darville), while Montgomery is known for his appearance in the Australian short film “BETRAND THE TERRIBLE.”
The Power Rangers film is due to hit theaters on January 13, 2017. Dean Israelite serves as the film’s director, with Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz serving as writers, and Saban Brands’ Haim Saban and Brian Casentini, and Lionsgate’s Alison Shearmur serve as executive producers.
