I’m sure all of you remember the Power Hoodiez fiasco, when a fan took it upon himself to design and sell Power Rangers-based hoodies and ended up with a big fat cease and desist from Saban? Well, turns out they realized he had the right idea and are now selling officially licensed Power Rangers zip hoodies at Hot Topic.

These seem like solid quality hoodies and I’m glad Saban saw the marketing potential, especially after the wild success of the Power Hoodiez. Where those sold for over a hundred dollars, the mass-produced versions are a mere $50, somewhat standard for premium hoodies.

The only downside is the large Dino Coin insignia

in the middle, a carryover from the previously licensed T-shirts and minidresses that were not present in the unlicensed Power Hoodiez. Worse yet, the green hoodie has the strange Godzilla-esque insignia instead of the Dragon Coin. You win some, you lose some I suppose.
