The first images for Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger were leaked today from what I have to assume are scans from an upcoming magazine.

The first image is the logo, which looks pretty spiffy. It’s got a lot of energy in the design, as well as what appears to be electricity surrounding it, which would fit in with the “Electrobeast” translation of the word “Jyuden.” There’s not much else to say about the logo, but we give it the official SentaiRangers.com seal of approval.

More importantly, the first (albeit low-quality) image of the Kyoryugers themselves was revealed. It appears that the color scheme will be Red, Black, Blue, Green, Pink, forgoing Yellow for the first time in over 20 years (Changeman was the last series to not feature a Yellow Ranger.) The suits all feature a yellow stripe across the front, apparently representing teeth, and it’s likely Toei didn’t want to repeat the strange fashion disaster of Turboranger by making one ranger’s sash different. Additionally, rumor has it (and the scan appears to confirm) that Pink will be the only female ranger, making Kyoryuger the first series since Gaoranger (over 10 years ago) that features a core group of five rangers from episode one with only one female ranger among them. (Go-Onger started with a core group of three, with Green and Black joining within the first five episodes.) This has, of course, been done before in Sentai, but it will be interesting to see how this is adapted into Power Rangers, which has historically changed the gender of the yellow ranger to create a 3:2 Male-Female ratio.
