Adi Shankar (The Grey, Dredd) produces this film in the series of his “Bootleg” films (Punisher: Dirty Laundry, Venom: Truth in Journalism). Starring James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek, Don’t Trust the B— in Apt. 23) and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Power/Rangers takes a look at a post-apocalyptic(?) world in which the Machine Empire rules the world and the rangers all suffer from some form of PTSD. The film was directed by Joseph Kahn and written by Kahn, Van Der Beek, and Dutch Southern. Check it out!
(WARNING: This film would carry a hard R-rating and contains strong language. Viewer discretion is advised)
UPDATE: As of 2/26/15, Power/Rangers has been taken off YouTube due to a copyright notice from Saban Brands. It is still available on Shankar’s Official Facebook Page. After some discussions between the two parties, Power/Rangers is back on YouTube and Vimeo (which hosts the NSFW version).
