As per his Twitter account, Bryan Cranston is joining the Power Rangers movie! The news was tweeted from the actor’s personal account and subsequently confirmed by the official Power Rangers account.

Cranston becomes the first actor from the original Power Rangers series to join the production, having voiced Snizzard in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He is best known for his roles as Hal on Malcolm in the Middle and Walter White/Heisenberg on Breaking Bad. Most recently, he was nominated for an Academy Award for his starring role in Trumbo. Billy Cranston, the original Blue Ranger, was named after the actor.
The Power Rangers film is due to hit theaters on March 24, 2017. Dean Israelite serves as the film’s director, with Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz serving as writers, and Saban Brands’ Haim Saban and Brian Casentini, and Lionsgate’s Alison Shearmur serve as executive producers. The film stars Becky G (Trini/Yellow Ranger), RJ Cyler (Billy/Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott (Kimberly/Pink Ranger), Dacre Montgomery(Jason/Red Ranger), and Ludi Lin (Zack/Black Ranger), with Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa).
