It is fairly clear that Toei enjoys crossover specials featuring Super Sentai and Kamen Rider: The Superhero Taisen film series chronicles the two franchises locked in combat (with occasional appearances from the now-defunct Metal Heroes franchise), and Kamen Rider Decade featured an arc in the World of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.

On March 30, 2014, Kamen Rider Gaim and Ressha Sentai ToQger will meet in Ressha Sentai ToQger Vs. Kamen Rider Gaim Haru Yasumi Gattai Special, or ‘spring vacation combining special.’ This hour-long special episode will be the first time Super Sentai and Kamen Rider have rightfully crossed over on television (especially because details on exactly how Decade’s universe works in Kamen Rider Decade are nebulous at best).

Both shows air on the Superhero Time programming block on TV Asahi in Japan from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. This special airs the day after Heisei Rider Vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai premieres in theaters, and will feature the Double Riders and Kamen Rider V3 in addition to the casts of Ressha Sentai ToQger and Kamen Rider Gaim.
