Power Morphicon 4 was held from August 22 to 24, 2014 at the Pasadena Convention Center in not-as-sunny-as-San-Diego Pasadena, California. Power Morphicon has the premiere convention since 2007 for not only Power Rangers, but other Toei-affiliated tokusatsu productions as well, such as Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Masked Rider, VR Troopers, and Beetleborgs.
The very first Power Rangers Action Card Game Tournament was held at Power Morphicon. Entry was free.
There was a Bandai toy display at the show. Unlike San Diego Comic-Con’s display, the Deluxe Megazord was assembled. I am color-blind and the lighting is not the best, but Kuhan assures me that Dricera is pink.

As revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, there was an exclusive Ranger Key Set available at Morphicon, containing the Titanium Ranger from Lightspeed Rescue and the Wolf Ranger from Jungle Fury. They are the first titanium and purple rangers of the franchise, respectively.
O.92 of RangerCrew was able to ask some questions regarding the use of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger as a source season over Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, as well as the potential fate of Ressha Sentai ToQger.
Go-Busters was skipped because dino's have proven to sell much more than spy gear. Kyoryuger also more successful than Go-Busters in Japan.
— O.92 (@Odot92) August 24, 2014
Saban's current thoughts on Tokkyuger: trains are not major part of kids lives in USA like Japan. Trains also not major public trans in US.
— O.92 (@Odot92) August 24, 2014
Does not mean Tokkyuger will be skipped. Depends what Toei does next. But Saban isn't in love with Tokkyuger. This is per Bandai.
— O.92 (@Odot92) August 24, 2014
Saban feels ToQ suits incredibly pre-schoolish. Zords too stiff. But we'll see. Depends on ToQ's final sales in Japan & Toei's next theme.
— O.92 (@Odot92) August 24, 2014
That being said, the use of a dinosaur theme does lend itself to some cameos from veteran dinosaur rangers, and original Mighty Morphin Red Ranger Austin St. John is currently in talks with Saban Brands for an appearance in Power Rangers Dino Charge.
A book about the production of Power Rangers will be released in 2015. It will be penned by Robert Hughes, who served in several crew capacities on Power Rangers, Masked Rider, Beetleborgs, VR Troopers, and Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog.
Shout! Factory streamed the Saturday of the convention through their website, and also revealed news regarding their release of Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. New Power Force member @ShukuenShinobi livetweeted the panel.
