Roberto Orci has left his role as executive producer of the upcoming Power Rangers film due to a directorial obligation for Star Trek 3. Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz of X-Men: First Class and Thor will remain on the project as writers, and Haim Saban, Brian Casentini, and Allison Shearmur remain in their producer roles. Lionsgate executives Eric Feig and Jim Miller will join the project on behalf of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group.

The film is a modernization of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise and is expected to be released stateside on July 22, 2016.
