I’m pretty sure Kouta also wants to stop Yggdrasil. He didn’t make a big declaration, but he is kind of mad about the stuff they did. And in this episode he helped to try and undo their propaganda, since that’s a big advantage they have.

And I don’t think you should be able to automatically guess what’s gonna happen in any show. A certain big twist in Wizard really sucked because they made it way too obvious. They’re probably not gonna leave a twist hanging that long in Gaim, but there should be some room for doubt in any work of fiction.

Your last sentence–check out “A Bucket of Blood” (1958). Great, great movie, 100% predictable from the first scenes.

Yup. “Black comedy re-make” in 1995. Pointless, since the original is a black enough comedy already, but maybe it’s worth watching. I don’t know.

The original does not feature a bucket of blood, btw. Or any blood.

“there should be some room for doubt” Agreed. So why are people SO SURE they’re literal mouths? It’s the rabid surety of it which gets me, is all. But like I’ve said, I’ll comment honestly whether it pays off or not.

Well, that’s what they most resemble. Open hole, teeth around them…they could always be something else that looks like that, I suppose, or just generic creepy imagery to show they’re closer to Helheim’s center, which I’d be disappointed in. At least they’ll probably say for sure next Saturday.

I couldn’t really make anything out from that reflection, unfortunately. It was white-ish, could be some ruined buildings I suppose.

I’m agreeing with Tod here, and I mentioned that during the episode. Foreshadowing needs to be purposeful, and will be apparent once something comes to fruition.

Man Hibiki’s great, but the second half (post episode 39-) is really gonna make or break it for you.

I know I said I’m watching Hibiki next, but it’s worth reiterating I’m *proper* looking forward to it.

I’ve heard about the problems it has down the line, but if I can make it past Kiva’s criminal midway slump, I’m confident!
